Have you heard? Pantone color of the year 202o is classic blue!

Pantone Color of The Year
Blues are one of my favorite color-picks when painting furniture. It’s one of my go-to’s and I’ll admit, I have to stop myself from using too often. Not only because it sells quickly, but also because it’s so darn gorgeous and I feel ‘safe’ using it. Whether it’s vibrant or muted, light or dark, blues can look stunning paired with white, vibrant yellows and orange, soft grey, gold or silver. It’s versatile and lends itself to a sleek modern look, yet it’s equally spectacular in a rustic farmhouse setting and everything in-between.
Today I’ve curated 25 BEAUTIFUL BLUE makeovers from some of the top talents in the furniture painting industry.
I hope this inspires you and gives you ideas on how to incorporate this gorgeous color into YOUR furniture makeovers and decor.
Thank you to ALL the amazing and talented furniture artists who created these stunning pieces!

Cnn you please tell me the color or where I can find a paint chip of the Dark Navy High Gloss Triple Dresser posted on your site? Thanks
Hi Patti! That gorgeous piece was painted by Kayla at Painted By Kayla Payne. Here’s the direct link here.
Great ideas and love these examples! Any idea as to find the color for the Rustoleum Blue Desk? I tried the link and it is not working. Thanks so much!
Sorry Sara, I’ll check to see what’s going on with the link. And since it’s not my piece, I’m not sure what color they used but if I find out, I’ll post it here for you. 🙂
Hi Denise,

I’m trying to find the perfect blue for a dresser with
So many options these days I’m stressing myself
out. I’ve been feeling a creative deficit lately and although
I have what I’ve always wanted, as much time as I want to
work on furniture, the ideas are just not there. I know this will pass, but in the meantime I’m just hanging in ther.e.
Thanks!
Kara
Hi Kara! Aren’t they all fabulous? 🙂 That buffet was painted in this here blue… which is stunning… but I hear you. I think a lot of us are feeling the same way. I never realized how much inspiration I got from getting out of the house. Walks in nature or by the lake, window shopping, going out for a meal, all these things spark ideas and creativity imo. I find I’m having to “push” myself into doing projects. Not easy. But once I start I feel better. 🙂 Anyway, thanks for dropping by and good luck. I hope you find your perfect blue.
Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! And I just realized that I’m one of those people who don’t read the details. I saw your step by step description of the buffet makeover and you had the name of the color right there. I just ordered the paint and feeling inspired❤️ I will send you a pic when it’s done.
I’d LOVE that! Have fun. 🙂
So honored to be included in your line-up, Denise. I admire your work and blog tremendously.
Goes both ways, Susie! Your work is stunning! XO
Thank you for the kick in the pantaloons! I have been stuck on distressed, Crisp Linen pieces for years. These beautiful makeovers are whispering, “Come out of your safe place. Take a chance.”. I’m going shopping for shades of blue today! Thanks for the inspiration!

Where is the After for the last photograph on your blog? It is also a link at Confessions of a Serial DIYer that doesn’t work.
Hi Robin! There was never a link for this before pic because the blog hadn’t been written yet — but I believe this is the post you’re referring to. If you’re still having problem viewing, please let me know. 🙂
